Acceptable Use Policy

This policy describes how ApexGEO may and may not be used. It applies to everyone who accesses the platform and forms part of, and is governed by, the Terms of Service (section 6, Acceptable use). Where this page and the Terms differ, the Terms control.

Prohibited uses

Don't use ApexGEO to:

  • Audit or monitor sites you don't own or don't have permission to scrape.
  • Bypass paywalls, rate limits, or access controls on third-party sites or AI engines.
  • Generate, distribute, or amplify spam, malware, phishing, deceptive impersonation, sexual content involving minors, or content that incites violence or unlawful discrimination.
  • Reverse-engineer the platform, scrape our pages at volume, or benchmark us to build a competing product. (Normal competitive analysis of your own brand is welcome.)
  • Interfere with other customers' use of the platform — denial-of-service against shared infrastructure, abusing the job queue, or attempting privilege escalation.
  • Submit data that infringes third-party intellectual property or violates someone else's privacy.
  • Use automated clients to exceed published API rate limits or to evade per-plan usage caps.

Audit & monitoring responsibility

ApexGEO audits and monitors the sites and brands you configure. You are responsible for ensuring you own those properties or have permission to analyse them. Our crawler respects robots.txtand skips authenticated areas; do not use the platform to circumvent another site's access controls.

Enforcement

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this policy. Where a violation is unintentional and remediable, we usually email a warning first and give you a chance to fix it. For severe or repeated violations — or anything that endangers other customers, third parties, or the platform — we may suspend without notice.

Reporting a violation

To report abuse or a suspected violation, email [email protected] with details and any evidence. Security vulnerabilities should go to our responsible-disclosure channel instead. Privacy and data requests: [email protected].
